The average hours spent doing domestic or unpaid work is higher for women than for men in every region in the world. The biggest difference in time spent working in the home is in Central Africa where women work an average of 7 hours and 6 minutes, and men work 1 hour and 30 minutes everyday.

The most home-hours are worked by women in Northern Africa, daily they each spend an average of 7 hours and 12 minutes doing domestic work, some will work many hours more than others.

On average, women in Japan spend the least time doing domestic work, that is 3 hours and 43 minutes everyday, each.
